Ingredients

200g Natvia sugar free icing

50ml Egg, white, beaten

5g Lemon juice, fresh

         

Method

1. Whisk egg whites and lemon juice together in a large bowl.

2.  Start adding icing sugar, little by little, whisking between each addition. Keep whisking until all icing sugar is added.

3. Once all icing sugar is added whisk for 5 minutes, icing should be stiff and fluffy.

4. Once icing is made cover with damp kitchen paper and cover bowl with plastic wrap.

5. Pipe out onto biscuits to decorate then allow the icing to dry over night before eating or storing in an airtight container to keep fresh. 

Top Tips

This icing can be used to decorate Christmas and Easter biscuits or gingerbread men. You can also fill a piping bag with a plain nozzle and write on top of your celebration cake i.e. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You can use this icing to attach other decorations to cakes e.g. silver balls, shop bought candles or rice paper decorations. You can colour icing with paste colour but don’t use liquid colour or icing won’t set.
